Did you know that a pre-pop art Andy Warhol apartment-hopped along Lexington Avenue in New York designing ultra-imaginative shoes, including buttoned boots and exclamation point pumps (that I can totally see stomping down a Marc Jacobs runway)? In honor of the 80th anniversary of the artist's birth, Bond No. 9 released the third fragrance in the Warhol series, Andy Warhol Lexington Avenue, that dares to "link two of the most ultra-feminine commodities a woman can own: fragrance and footwear."
Like many of the women Warhol surrounded himself, Lexington Avenue screams independence and confidence, with a strong sex appeal. It's bold huskiness has a masculine feel but an elegance remains, giving you the essence of a woman.
Add a dab of this with some Edie Sedgwick-inspired duds and just wait for admirers to ask to snap your picture! Either that, or ask you who you are for Halloween. :)
And speaking of the upcoming holidays, limited edition bottles are to feature four Robert Lee Morris sterling silver shoe pendants of original Warhol shoe designs on a sterling silver chain.

Erykah for Tom Ford's White Patchouli

I'm in love! The newly knocked up Erykah Badu looks absolutely amazing in black and white for Tom Ford's new fragrance, White Patchouli. Isn't it oh so appropriate that Mr. Ford hired our favorite neo-soul eccentric for a patchouli based scent?
Says Ford: “For this project, I wanted to reinvent patchouli, (…) I loved the idea of mixing patchouli with white florals. We used patchouli orpur, which takes out some of the darker, smoky notes of patchouli. We mixed that with peony, bergamot, and jasmine. Additional notes include rose, coriander, and ambrette seed.”
All that is well and good but let's get to the point of this post. Erykah is serving up some Diana Ross-esque glamour here! Bone structure for days. She's radiant! Work for that money, b*tch!
