Lucy Liu is looking too fierce in this hot pink Alexander McQueen dress for her appearance on Letterman. The more I look at this dress the more I love it: so structured yet with that gorgeous draping. Divine! And don't get me started on the opera-length leather gloves...I can totally picture her peeling them off slowly and back-slapping someone. Anyone will do.

I am confused as to why she would choose to pair this coat and bag with such an otherwise fab outfit, though. The coat is lovely, but together it just doesn't work for me.

Basic black and winter white have been all over the red carpet lately. You really can't go wrong when you pair a gorgeous gown with a classic color. Case in point: Lucy Liu looks elegant in her draped and ruched Zac Posen stunner. I'm loving the nautical ostrich-skin clutch. Here's hoping she looks this chic on her new show, Cashmere Mafia.

Gabrielle Union is a show stopper in her long, shimmery dominatrix-style halter dress. I like it for its duality: its severe but simple and it really shows off her amazing shape.

Thandie Newton takes a little from both worlds and is making it work in a flirty black dress with a peek-a-boo neckline and ultra-thin white belt. I love how she pulled this look together with simple adornments: peeptoes and pulled back hair.
