Fashion designer Liz Claiborne has died at age 78. Claiborne was truly iconic for her innovation in women's sportswear in the 1970's and 1980's. Using the momentum of the feminist movement, she crafted suits and separates for the workplace that looked both chic and smart. She built an empire which now includes women's wear, men's wear, accessories, jewelry, bed and bath, and fragrances, including the ever popular, Curve Eau De Toilette. Rest in peace!
