Red Carpet Shots @ The Oscars

Last night, while hanging out at The Standard Hotel with some of my colleagues over some drinks in the grilling Downtown Los Angeles, the Oscar moments popped up and the entire gist happened to be who was wearing what and how the show came out. For sure, I don't like the Whoopi attire. I have no favorite but I like Alicia Keyes and Taraji P. Henson.

We even talked about how the Jews conquered Hollywood with the kind of movies they make which is inspiring. Movies like "Defiance," "The Unborn," "The Reader," "Valkyrie," "Blessed Is The Match," and many others -- all about the Holocaust. Now my folks see where I'm coming from.

Associated Press photographer Chris Pizzello captures Taraji P. Henson as she arrives for the 81st Academy Awards

Actress and singer Alicia Keyes arrives at the 81st Academy Awards. Those Armani Prive with a Zufi Alexander clutch and that Fred Leighton jewels speaks volumes. I like that style. Simply georgeous. Photo by Matt Sayles, AP

Halle Berry arrives at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party which grooved all night. She is captured here by AP's Evan Agostini.

I'm not sure what Whoopi Goldberg was doing here in that dress. She was all smiles though. AP's Chris Carlson captured her here as she arrives at the 81st Academy Awards.

Actress Marion Cotillard pops up on the red carpet while AP's Chris Pizzello takes the shot.

Here you go Dubmaster. Kate Winslet here wears Yves Saint Laurent Atelier along with Yvette Saint Laurent shoes and Chopard jewelry as she arrives the Academy Awards.

I'm not sure if I like this outfit. Anyway, Queen Latifah here wears Georges Chakra gown with William Goldberg diamonds and Gucci shoes. She is captured here by AP's Matt Sayles.

Anne Hathaway is so excited for having a job and you bet she is going to get all that Hollywood wants. Here she wears white Armani Prive gown with Casadel shoes and Roger Vivier bag topping it off with Cartier jewels

The prediction was that white was going to be the flashing point this year on the red carpet and Henson did just that. She captured my eyes.

A Must or a Bust?

Tod's Luna Nylon Media Bag - $875.00

The fabulous thing about a nylon bag is that you can take it to the beach, spill bronzer in it and even kick it down the stairs a couple of times and it will remain the same shape and color as when you first purchased it. Even knowing this, how much would you pay for one? Tod’s Luna Nylon Media Bag, for instance, is of course, designer, sports an adorable patent leather trim and has gold hardware and zipper accents. It also features an adjustable shoulder strap that can be can be slung low a la Cameron Diaz...

...or doubled up a la Halle Berry.

But at the end of the day, it's a nylon bag that costs $875.00. What do you think? Would you plunk down the cash?

Plenty o' Palm Springs Pics

Hello gorgeous!

The 2008 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala took place over the weekend (snore), awards were handed out (bore) and happily, there was plenty of fashion to fawn over. First and foremost, Ms. Halle (sans baby daddy) glowed in a Temperley Resort mini that complimented her bump perfectly.

Drew Barrymore went futuristic in an asymmetrical Gucci dress

Ricki Lake looked darling in a navy mini with a beguiling peephole

Vanessa Hudgens (with Zac) perfects her smug pout in black strapless

Nikki Blonsky is a firecracker in red with a smartly cinched waist. I'm amazed that this woman can maintain a healthy body image in Hollywood, land of the anorexic.

Ellen Page, star of Juno and newly-minted lesbian icon, accented her blah-colored dress with red shoes and clutch.

Tweeny-bopper Amanda Bynes looks fresh in winter white, but the empire waist mini dress is one silouhette that went out with 2007

Why lord? Mary Hart is a lilac mess. She must have dug way back in the closet for this one. So entirely 80's...and not in a good way.

Fab Look of the Day

Halle Berry gets her maternal glow on while doing a photo shoot in Miami. I'm loving this bohemian, Mother Earth look for her: the cascading silk of her colorblocked dress, the wooden bangles and huge hoops, the natural makeup and flowing hair. She looks truly happy and relaxed which always equals gorgeous. This look almost gives me pregnancy pangs...almost.
