Breaking! Posh Chopped Her Mop!
Our darling diva deluxe, Vicki B., who has famously donned some version of the "Posh" angled bob for almost two years now, has gone full on pixie, people! She debuted her oh-so-chic cropped mop, which is giving me a very sixties, "Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby" vibe, last night at the Marc Jacobs show. I am living for this cut! Short hair is the new weave, didn't you know? And yes, this is breaking news in my world.
Ms. Becks kept her head-to-toe look simple and elegant in an all-black ultra-slim silouhette; very French, darling. The chunky bangle is a perfectly trendy accent. (Chunky jewelry is all over the S/S '09 runways!)
And would you look at these pictures of Posh and J. Lo trying to outfierce each other? I could die.
Love it! So, tell me, what do you think of Posh's new look?

La Lopez Covers Elle
Jen-luv, where have you been all my life? Looking divine, darling! It's been too long! Absence really does make the heart grow fonder. (Take note, Beyonce.)Anyhoo, in September's Elle, Jenny LoLo plays muse to various and asundry fashion giants (including Dolce & Gabbana, Georgina Chapman and Donatella Versace). Sneak peek below...look and love!
Michael KorsQuotes!
J.Lo on Dolce and Gabbana: “My babies! I love them, I love them, I love them.”
J.Lo on Donatella Versace: “We’ve always had a very sweet relationship. I really got to know her more after her brother had died.”
J.Lo on Georgina Chapman: “She could be a model—but meanwhile she’s down there pinning and sewing all these things all over you!”
J.Lo on shooting in Washington Heights with Oscar de la Renta: “We were in the hoody! [The hoody? Really boo? - Elle] All kinds of locals hanging around, eating out of paper bags, thinking, what’s going on here? It was crazy.”
For the full interview, in which she blabs on and on about her pregnancy [yawn], visit Elle.com.Source

Natural beauty my arse
Okay, I just heard some of the craziest sh*t ever, and I simply must share. A friend of a friend of mine, who is only mildly attractive in the first place (and I'm putting that nicely), doesn't ever wear makeup. Although this is highly offensive to my sensibilities, I get it. Not everyone is into accentuating their natural assets with a lil gloss from time to time, fine. Personally, I can't comprehend this, but like my father says, if you like it, I love it.But here is where I had to put my foot down. This same young lady did not wear a stitch of makeup ON HER WEDDING DAY. None. I swear I've been walking around with a furrowed brow every since I learned this sad fact (I'm totally sending her my Botox bill this month). Like, how does something like this happen? Of all days in a woman's life, you don't decide to dab a little blush on before you walk down the aisle? I can only think of a few reasons how and why something like this could happen.
1. You have no friends, cousins, play cousins, aunts, or sisters and your mama is dead. Because one of the above should have snatched you up in a fit of rage and dragged you to the nearest MAC counter.
2. You're allergic to makeup. Whatevs, okay, this is no excuse. There are plenty of hypoallergenic products out there and the organic ingredients in mineral makeup have become a great option for people with cosmetic allergies or sensitive, problematic skin types. It's your wedding day...make it work!
3. You're a lesbian. 'Nuff said.
4. Someone lied to you and told you you were a natural beauty. Even the most beautifullest girl in this world can use a little zsujsh on her wedding day. And even if you look great in person without makeup, pictures are a whole 'nother story. Hello...you will be looking at these pictures for the rest of your life! A shiny forehead and ashy lips will really take away from your wedding album.
5. Your fiance/husband doesn't like when you wear makeup. Chile, please. This is YOUR day. Eff him. And anyway, the real truth is that women dress up and wear makeup for other women, even on their wedding day.
6. You really and truly don't care. And hey, if you don't care enough to get glammed up on your wedding day, then why should I? However, the next time I run into you in the street, and we stop and exchange pleasantries, and I begin to rustle around in the bottom of my handbag du jour, just know that I am searching for one of my opera-length gloves with which to backslap you. That's all.

Red Carpet Rundown: Costume Institute Gala
I love the slit. I love the shoes. But I expected more from Vicki B. Where's the drama?
Joy! The heralded Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala was last night in NYC with the theme, Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy. So, who looked super and who crashed and burned? You be the judge. I have no time for snark at the moment, but I promise to update this post later. In the meantime, check out the highs and lows of the night! Can you name all the celebs without the help of captions? If so, pat yourself on the back and then seek help.
UPDATED with captions!
Jules looked quite glam in her beaded Armani Privé gown. I love the sophisticated neckline.
The diva Mary J. wore a black strapless Michael Kors gown. The hair is horrific.
Gossip Girl Blake Lively is quitessentially Ralph Lauren in a strapless mermaid gown with gloves.
Janet chose a white column Versace dress with an embroidered halter. In all the pictures I've seen, she looks like she's not breathing. Exhale, boo!
KLS made a bold statement in a brightly colored mosaic dress by Kevan Hall. Either you love it or you hate it.
This Versace gown was the perfect accent to Gisele's long, lean silouette. Her body looks amazing in it.
Thandie is a little minx in her short and sassy Chanel frock and cape. Love the sandals. Sexy!
Mrs. Parker made waves in a rippled, ruffled Marchesa gown. Stunning.
Michelle Tractenberg took a risk in vintage YSL. And by vintage I mean the 70's. The gold lame probably gave that away.
Molly Sims looks like a Grecian goddess in bold yellow Versace. Her green Chopard earrings are a fab touch.
Naomi Watts was the essence of Hollywood glamour in a Theirry Mulger pleated white halter gown. I'm not gaga about the color for her skintone, but she definitely pulled it off.
Eva Mendes chose aqua Calvin Klein. She's so beautiful that she made me like this dress.
Darling Hilary wore a glimmering Elie Saab Spring 2008 Couture gown. She has really grown into her beauty. Homegirl looks good!
J. Luscious is giving me gorgeous! I love the asymetrical tierson her gown. Not in love with the color.
Kristin Davis looked loverly in her Michael Kors gown with a full train. Very Charlotte.
Maggie Gyllenahall chose a richly colored Peter Som dress. Not bad.
Aw lil Zoe! She looked absolutely gorgeous in the face. You can't tell in this picture but she was rocking some fierce finger waves. Crushed velvet, however, makes me sick to my stomach, so I won't even go there.
Miss B chose a fairly simple Armani Privé pale pink strapless dress in silk organza. I'm distracted by her hair color, it's a tad brassy.
Fergie has clearly been working on her fitness. Here she is in a one-sleeved Calvin Klein dress.
Amber Valetta is an angelic alien in Versace Spring 2008 Couture.
Sarah Silverman chose a ladylike look with a full skirt. But what's going on with the fingerless gloves?
Kate Bosworth in a dizzying vintage Chanel couture dress. Blech and barf.
Katie Holmes...just why? As if the red sequined bustier and ball gown weren't over the top enough, she had to throw in blue heels. Um, no.
Christina Ricci wore a cheeky Givenchy dress that was basically sheer confection over a leotard.
Claire Danes. Snore and bore.
Ziyi Zhang looked beautiful in her one-shouldered Armani Prive Spring 2008 gown.
SMG in black strapless Bottega Veneta. Meh.
Ivanka is a vision of chiffon gorgeousness in J. Mendel. The forehead jewelry? Not so much.
Balenciaga muse Jennifer Connelly stood by her brand in a somewhat severe look that suits her.
Ashley Olsen's black keyhole dress was custom-made by Diane von Furstenberg and MK chose gold sequin also by DVF. These two scare me.
