Deréon is Taking Over Part II

House of Deréon is about to have the high school girls on lock! Not only have they recently debuted the oh-so-hood-fabulous Deréon Class Ring, but now teens can rock a Beyoncé-original to the prom. The House of Deréon brand is relaunching this spring as a high-end contemporary dress line. Originally launched in May 2004 as a denim and sportswear line, House of Deréon never took off at retail, so they pulled it off the market and introduced Deréon, a junior version of the brand, in 2006.

Now House of Deréon is back with a collection of cocktail and evening gowns that will cost between $120 and $300 wholesale. Here are some of the designs that will be available in January, including the gorgeous royal purple silk jersey dress above:

I was just about to give this collection three claps and a snap for its young, flirty yet sophisticated feel, but that long, low-cut, fire-printed mess of a gown really killed it for me. That print is in a word...horrid. Miss Tina would probably do better adding that to her Spicy Creole collection for HSN. And speaking of which...she got me this weekend!

I mean I was innocently flipping channels, when I happened upon this stunner of a sequin wrap dress:

She had me at sequin. I must say I'm not mad at the most recent Miss Tina collection for HSN. For the most part, very grown, sexy and wearable. And I'm sure you've now seen ads for the Deréon Baby collection. Yup, it's official, Deréon is taking over the world!
