I know I'm late. These shoes have been everywhere for the past year. But I'm on a bit of a Posh kick right now so please bear with me.

Ever since Mr. Giambattista Valli himself graced the uber-fierce Vicki Beckham with a sky high stripper-esque shoe named just for her, the luxurious six-inch platforms, in every color and fabrication under the sun, have been on the feet of stylish women everywhere.

They were first featured in the Giambattista Valli Fall R/W 2007 fashion show this time last year.

Soon after, Posh was spotted out and about with them on. Back in July 2007, she rocked this black and brown crocodile pair to her "Welcome to L.A." party. (I'm sure she would have taken the time to pumice those heels had she known these shoes would soon be in such high demand.)

She then famously wore them in October 2007 for her photoshoot in Paris for the January '08 issue of Elle. It was at this shoot, that Mr. Valli named them, "The Victoria Shoe." (cue the dramatic music)

Here she is in a black patent pair at that same shoot.

Here's what Vicki had to say: "I...went to see my friend Giambattista Valli at his showroom - sadly I couldn’t make his show but his new collection is fabulous, he’s definitely one of the most exciting designers around at the moment. He has even made a pair of super high platform shoes which he has named the Victoria Shoe - they are gorgeous. I will just have to learn how to walk in them first they are so high!"

Posh isn't the only fan of her shoe...

Nicole Scherzingleberries presented at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards in a black and white pair.

Mary-Kate Olsen wore a neon pink and white pair to a dinner gala.

Jessica Biel opted for red at a Giambattista Valli show in Paris.

Rihanna was recently spotted at a Fendi event in a neon green and black pair.

Mary Kate wore them again (this time in black suede) at the most recent Giambattista Valli fashion show.

Dammit Mariah! Even though these are the same pair seen on Nicole Sherzinglwhatever, you're the only one who's managed to make them look tacky.

So the question is, to all my glamour girls of the world, would you dare wear the Victoria Shoe anywhere outside the bedroom? And which color tickles your fancy?
