Pierre Hardy falls into the Gap

Bonjour!
asdfasd
Do you know the name, Pierre Hardy? Perhaps not, but the gifted French accessories designer is behind some of the most extraordinary footwear in the market, namely Balenciaga shoes. Remember when Jennifer Connelly wore those amazing black and white gladiator heels on the red carpet? Or when Beyonce performed in those crazy Lego-inspired pumps? Whether you loved them or hated them, Mr. Hardy's revolutionary designs definitely leave an impression. The good news? Hardy has designed a capsule collection for the Gap, which hit U.S. stores earlier this month.

From WWD: "Hardy, known for his sculptural sky-high stilettos under his eight-year-old signature label, as well as those he designed for edgy brands such as Balenciaga, adopted Gap's casual aesthetic in creating the collection. The spring line includes a wooden wedge sandal with an ankle strap in printed fabrics and a chambray. There is also a strappy chunk-heel sandal and a flat, leather gladiator style."

Six styles, priced between $78 and $98, were shipped to 75 select stores and a few are available online. Who knew that the Gap, the prototype for casual American sportswear, could go European chic?
