Fab Fall Booties!

YSL Caged Booties
$1,130

Did you go gaga for the sinfully strappy Yves Saint Laurent Caged Booties on the YSL Spring 2009 runway? If so, we've got something in common! And lucky for us, the knockoffs have hit the market.

$59.99

Infinitely more wearable than the original and for a tenth of the price? These Bakers heels are a no-brainer.

I just scooped up a similar pair (but with a thinner, higher heel) by Michael Antonio through my Shoe Dazzle subscription. Perfect paired with everything from black skinnies to a belted floral dress, I can't stop wearing them! Go on, give your Fall wardrobe some serious edge.

H&M and Jimmy Choo!?!?!?!?!?!? H to the yes!

In a match made in budgetnista heaven, affordable trendwear giant, H&M, is collaborating with the Carrie Bradshaw-approved shoe brand, Jimmy Choo, for a limited collection of shoes and handbags, slated to launch November 14 at 200 H&M stores worldwide. [*clears throat* White girl wooooooooooo!]

H&M tells WWD that there will be twelve "Jimmy Choo for H&M" shoe designs for women and four for men, priced from around $50 to $140. As Jimmy Choo shoes will typically set you back between $500 and $800 (unless of course you prefer the ever popular Claudia sky-high stiletto which retails as high as $1,395) this collabo will finally make the brand accessible to the fashion masses.

Jimmy Choo co-founder and President Tamara Mellon said the brand would bring H&M "a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection."

This is in a word EPIC. I seriously may have to put in for a vacation day. I will be up at the crack, vaseline on my face, ready for a fashion faceoff with anyone who dares to come between me and a size 10. I. Can't. WAIT!

Forever 21 Launches a Plus-Size Line!

Hell to the yes! On May 1st, Forever 21 is (finally) launching Faith 21, its first ever plus-size collection! This means that I can now shop for more than just accessories in the trendy, cheap and chic bastion of teen fashion. Faith 21 will have sizes ranging from XL-2X and will range in price from $3.50 to $34.80.

Much like the Forever 21's main collection for petite and skinny minis, Faith 21 will feature of-the-moment pieces including sheer peasant blouses, denim leggings and mini dresses like the flirty floral above.

Heidi Canalizo, a regional manager at Forever 21, confirmed the collection was a no-brainer. "In the past we've had XL sizes and we would sell out of them so quickly," she said. "Our customers have been asking for this for so long and in the past few years we've really decided it's time to get into it. Not everyone is a size 2."

Ready for your own piece of Faith? Head on over to Forever21.com and get free standard shipping on orders of $75 or more! If you're in Southern California, you can actually shop the line in-store beginning May 1 at Lakewood Center Mall, Montebello Town Center, Los Cerritos Mall, and Anaheim Plaza.

In other news, this Spring will also see the launch of Target's plus-size line for juniors. Target's Pure Energy line will go up to a size 30 and feature skinny jeans, maxi dresses and sleeveless party tops. From the looks of it, I'm not in love, but hopefully more and better looks will be found in store. Give it a whirl!

Topshop is here!

Topshop New York opened today (yayness!) and I am just as excited now as I was back when it was first reported that the it-Brit chain was opening its American flagship at Broadway and Broome. Launching just in time for some serious Spring shopping, there are a ton of great events and perks planned for the week. And you don't even have to be in NYC to take part! If you shop online between now and April 9th, you'll receive free shipping on all orders.

So, you may as well seize the opportunity to invest in a fabulous piece from the Kate Moss S/S '09 collection for Topshop. Pretty sweet.

First Look: H&M Spring 2009 Lookbook

Spring has officially arrived, so it's only right that we preview H&M's Spring Lookbook! Volume, layers and movement are the key terms to remember when it comes to this collection. Super sophisticated but young and fun at the same time, it appears that your local H&M will be stocked with billowy pieces in a range of pastels, cocoon jackets in light-colored taupes and edgy items in black. Methinks these looks should come with a wind-machine for maximum impact.

Budget-nista Alert! Join Kim Kardashian's Shoe Society

Have you ever wished you could get into Kim Kardashian's pants (oops, I mean) shoes? But of course! Lucky for us, Kim is inviting us all into her pants (dammit! I mean) club for the shoe obsessed! Her newest venture, ShoeDazzle.com, is a personal shoe shopping service that caters to your cheap and chic footwear needs on a monthly basis.

How do they do it? Take the Style Sensibility quiz that will determine your signature look and input your credit card info to sign up for the society. The best part? Your credit card isn't charged until you pick your first shoe and you can choose to skip a month at any time. Warning: if you are looking for classic, simple shoes made from the best natural materials, do yourself a favor and head to Barney's. Christian Siriano for Payless

Photo: Imaxtree

Have you heard? Project Runway winner Christian Siriano has collaborated with Payless (one of my guiltiest pleasures) for his first-ever footwear and handbag collection, Christian Siriano for Payless.

Christian debuted his line of Cleopatra-inspired footwear and bags at his show during NY Fashion Week and from the looks of it, the collection will be amazing! The lush line combines a color palette of uber-rich chocolates, shimmering gold (check out the cone heels!) and printed aqua satin with hard rock details like spikes, chains, and studs.

All of this and more will be available beginning in September exclusively in Payless stores and on Payless.com for $25 to $45.

Recession-proof pricing!

Fab Find of the Day

-
Very often, I find myself leaving the suited up, corporate environment that is my job and heading straight to the trendiest fashion and industry events in NYC. That being said, I tend to get super creative with my wardrobe and use pieces that can take me from straight-laced to sexy with ease. New York & Company's Stretch Pencil Skirt in python print is one of those finds that can easily take me from day to night, and fits comfortably within my budget to boot!

On a lazy weekend, I might pair it with a white tank, oversized grey cardigan, cinch my waist with a black belt and finish the look with black cut-out booties. For a summer work day, I might wear it with a white ruffled blouse under a white blazer and strappy silver heels.

Even Vogue has taken notice of the awesome-ness of this skirt! Check out page 489 of the April issue (with Michelle Obama on the cover), where it is featured in the 100+ under 100 section. Although it's not yet available in stores, you can grab yours online right now!

See anything else you like at NYandCompany.com? Now through Sunday, March 15, enjoy $25 off a $75 purchase by entering promo code 1870 at checkout.

Payless just got fiercer-er

Oh snap! Project Runway winner Christian Siriano has collaborated with Payless (one of my guiltiest pleasures) for his first-ever footwear and handbag collection, Christian Siriano for Payless.

The new collection will debut during February's New York Fashion Week and will then be available exclusively in Payless stores and on Payless.com for $25 to $45.

"I'm so excited to design and create with such an amazing brand that is all about fashion and trend but, most importantly, is also about affordability," said Siriano. "I've already been working with the Payless Design Team in New York, and I can't wait to see how they will take the high- end shoes and bags I'm designing for the runway and turn them into pieces that everyone can buy. I'm all about the runway and the sidewalks!"

Interestingly, right after his PR win, Christian was asked by the Miami Herald whom he would make over if he had the chance. He said: "Britney — I need to save her and take her under my little wing. She used to look good, but now she’s all over the place. She needs a couple of good dresses and good heels, some Louis Vuittons, not cheesy Payless. I understand she’s on a budget, but c’mon girl!”

Payless isn't so cheesy now, is it Chrissy-poo? But hey let's face it, we've all talked ish about Payless once or a million times.

I, for one, am super excited about the collection...here's hoping it's better than Patricia Field's.

First Look: Thakoon for Target

If you're spending the winter holidays on vacay in a sunny destination, save room in your luggage for the Thakoon line for Target. Arriving on Christmas Day and retailing for $20 to $70, the first looks to have surfaced are super summery and have a definite resort feel. I love the use of ethnic prints and graphic stripes...these pieces have me dreaming of hazy summer days!

Designer Thakoon Panichgul told WWD, "[Target was] very easy to work with. They wanted a lot of prints, and I chose silhouettes that have done well in the past."

What's better than fab fashion for Christmas?

Comme des Garcons hits H&M tomorrow!

Famed Japanese designer, Rei Kawakubo, is debuting his highly anticipated Comme des Garcons for H&M Collection tomorrow, November 13th and I have the sneak preview! Comme de Garcons, which is French for "like boys," is adding its awesomely asymmetrical, geometric, monochromatic and deconstructed touch to a collection of womenswear, menswear and accessories (including a unisex fragrance!) for H&M.

The collection first launched in Tokyo on Saturday, where a line began to form as early as last Wednesday. Thousands of excited shoppers were there to witness the Harajuku debut.

“Rei Kawakubo’s intellectual and avant-garde collection for H&M is a success among our fashion-conscious audience in Japan. It is a particularly exciting but also very wearable collection featuring her signature deconstructed tailored garments and well-cut classics in special fabrics. Creating this collection together has been fun and a great experience,“ says H&M’s creative advisor Margareta van den Bosch.

I think my favorite pieces are the jackets and the accessories, must-own pieces for serious fashion collectors... Take a looksee for yourself!

Check out the men's collection here. Click here for the U.S. locations that will stock the collection.

Soooo...what do we think? Will you be lining up at dawn (or sending your assistant) for a piece of your own?
