She is the daughter of Blues musician Charlie Marshall, who left music in her blood. After dropping out of high school, she started performing in Atlanta as Cat Power and has since then transformed a social interest in music into an artistic obsession. Now, she has 8 albums under her belt and a cult following that's inescapable.
Her myspace is filled with pictures exhibiting her casual hipster style. Wearing a jean and blazer ensemble in one artsy shot, a white tee staple in a few other pics, and a black leotard with jeans and no shoes in another; this is CAT POWER.
