Fab Find of the Day: Barbados V-Plunge Swimsuit by Monif C.

-
Overall, I must say I was quite unimpressed with the plus-size fashions on Rip the Runway 2009. Although I love Douglas Says and the fact that he designs for full-size women (I've even walked in his show before), his colorblocked collection of jersey dresses reads retro and dated, in the worst way.

But joy comes in the morning! The above beachy little number, part of Monif C.'s designer swimsuit collection, had me at hello. Why? Well, we all know how I feel about gold lamé. There should probably be an entire section of inawordfab.com dedicated to it. Definitely not for the faint of heart, it's bold, eye catching and futuristic, three things I love in a fabric. But and however, it's quite hard to pull off without looking like a space cadet. That's why one of the best pieces to have in a lamé fabric is a barely there swimsuit, and Monif C. has designed one just for us plus size pretties.

The belted midsection of the Barbados V-Plunge is super slimming and the plunging neckline is super sexy. Really, what more could you want in a one-piece? Don't be afraid to serve it to all those skinny minis the next time you hit the sand! Get yours now at Zappos.com!
