Fashion Faceoff!

Hi honeybuns! Remember back in February we gabbed about how purple was going to be the hot hue of 2008? Well these two ladies have proven just how sizzling royal purple can be. Fiyah!!!!

On Monday, Charlize Theron was absolutely stunning in frilly purple tiers at the Christian Dior Cruise 2009 show in NYC, while my girl Kelly RoRo chose a sexy/sweet Donna Karan origami dress for the Sex and the City premiere across the pond in London. Each looks simply smashing in their own unique way.

So, the question remains, who wore it best?

Fab Look of the Day

Kelly RoRo is looking glowy, glam and gorgeous in a shake-your-shimmy dress at the In Style Best Beauty Buys 2008 launch in London. I know I get on Mariah all the time for wearing similar ensembles: tight, short, plunging neckline. Yes, Mariah, we know we're ash and you're lotion. But Kelly can pull this look off because she's young, fun, and fabulously fresh-faced! With that skin, face and body, she should absolutely be working her angles for all they're worth! Why let Beyonce have all the fun?

Kelly is currently in the UK promoting the new-fangled edition of her “Ms. Kelly” album which will include brand new songs and has a release date of March 10th. In terms of her album promotion, I still think desperate times call for desperate measures, but I'm rooting for you, Kels!

The Beautiful Life
afdafeda
Fab couple Auntie B and Jay-Z were in Milan this weekend to take in some collections during Fashion Week. On Saturday, they made a fashionable appearance at the Men’s Autumn/Winter 2008/09 Versace show along with Ms. Kelly Ro Ro. Gorgeousness abounds...

Hey B! Loving the Louboutin's and the leather trench...

Kelly-doll you are giving me good face...beautiful!

Beyonce's more minimalist makeup is refreshing, I like her with a nude lip...

Here's a few shots of the Versace show they witnessed:

Then on Sunday, they were spotted at the Emporio Armani Fall/Winter 2008/09 Men's show. Jay-Z is looking super stylish in all of these pics. He's really working the scarves!

B knows strategically placed hands keep uncouth cleave/crotch shots at bay

But back to Jay: he mixed his patterns like a pro, keeping the color scheme clean and simple

Kelly Ro...still pimpin for The Knowles clan

Darling Kelly made an appearance at the Out 100 event in NYC this past weekend, rocking a House of Deréon special from their new line of evening dresses. As previously stated, I am not loving this dress but Kelly has managed to outpretty all that fire print. Gorgeous.

Butterum, I have a question, Kel. Rather than continuously pimpin for 'Yonce and nem, perhaps you should focus on hustlin up some album sales? Just a thought, gumdrop. Take a lesson from Macy Gray circa 2001. She was willing to sacrifice fashion (and good taste) to shamelessly plug her album. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
