Chrisette Michelle, who wore a shiny purple frock and a super chic haircut.
Then I spotted the cheftastic
Marcus Samuelsson, who had just appeared on
Top Chef days before (Stefan overcooked his salmon). Adorable.
Actress
Anna Maria Horsford of such black classics as Amen, Friday and The Wayans Brothers told me all about her new jewelry line, including the jeweled spider and web that adorned her blouse.
Stylist and writer,
Earlecia Gibb, looked great in a brocade dress cinched by a black belt.
Another one of my fashion favorites,
Keino Benjamin, was looking dapper as per usual.

I was super happy to see my Spelman sis and fellow fashion blogger,
Nafeesa the StyleScrybe who caught a show with
Calvin Pace, who plays for the New York Jets.
This lovely lady was working her floppy hat, furry jacket and patterned tights.
Homegirl stood out in a bright red dress to match her fiery hair.
I loved the headwear; the cape, not so much.
Hey boo! We ran into each other a million times during the week and she always had on something eccentric. Today it was the poodle earrings that she made herself.
The guys from
The Eye Casting made a fashionable appearance...they must be twins, right?
This pretty lil thing caught my attention with her leopard spotted hat and studded dress.
He was super smartly dressed, with a scarf that took this look from good to awesome...
...and can be worn more ways than one!

Fur was everywhere! It seems Fashion Week-nistas used the opportunity to put their most gorgeous coats and hats on display.

Simple, chic and understated. You really can't go wrong with all black.
The black and white look is a great use of opposing prints. Looking good ladies!
Lots of layering and killer shoes.
Of all the fur ushankas (Russian-inspired hats with ear flaps) I saw (and there were A TON), his gets high marks for sheer magnitude and the attitude to go with it.

Scott Schuman made fashion blogging cool with his well-respected site, The Sartorialist, a collection of street style photographs that showcase the style and whimsy of real people who just happen to be devastatingly fashionable. Scott's eye for inspirational subjects caught fire in the industry, and everyone who is anyone has been captured on his blog. So, his upcoming book by the same name, an anthology of Scott's favorite shots from around the world, is officially a must have for fashion lovers near and far. It includes photos of both well-known fashion industry figures and those lucky passersby whose impeccable taste or clever countenance caught his eye. In a word...inspiration!
