I am loving this picture more than life. The drama, chile! They are giving me "drag aliens from the Planet Hair Piece." Try not to stare too long. If you're not already, this picture will turn you into a living, breathing flame.

The Dutchess herself, Miss Fergie, appears to be suffering from some form of Bell's Palsy but the most important thing about this picture? No eyebrow ring! Hallelujah Jesus! Joy comes in the morning! Sure, she's about 10 years late with this but let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. Here's hoping she burned it.

And our girl Aubrey is still a mess! This time on ice! Yup, all is right in my world. Okay, maybe it's not right but it's okay.

Fashion Recap: Fashion Rocks 2008!

Soooo, did Fashion Rocks rock your world? Personally, I was waiting for a performance on par with Mary J. and Usher, who KILLED it last year, but alas, it wasn't to be. I was entertained for the most part (Thank God for the fast forward button) and it was such fun gawking at all the fashion hits and misses...let's rezshujsh shall we?

Lil Miss Good Girl Turned Bad opened the show, and although she looked as gorgeous as usual, the performance was kind of a snore. I mean, I've done better vogues drunk in a gay club on a Saturday night.

Luckily, her origami inspired red carpet look didn't disappoint. I have questions about her hair but let's move on to greener pastures...

CHARLIZE! With every beat of my heart and bat of my falsies, I live and breathe for Ms. Theron. She is always sooo devastatingly chic and glamorous. Shall we count the ways? 1) Chunky statement necklace, 2) Opened-toed booties, 3) Skin-tight leggings, 4) Shiny all over. Check, check, check, and check.

Can we tawk about Beyonce as Etta? Did you love it or hate it? I have a feeling there are strong opinions on either side. I personally thought she looked absolutely fabulous in her perfectly vintage dress and amaaaazing emerald earrings.

Her 70's fish-scaled one-piece on the other hand? Ummm...I really loved the top of it, especially the plunging V and puffed-up shoulders. The bell bottoms were a bit much for me, definitely something only Beyonce could pull that off. In positive news, wasn't it refreshing how natural and toned down her makeup and hair were?

I've decided that Fergie looks like a Muppet. That's all.

LL came out looing all kinds of dapper in his smoking jacket. To complete the look, that mike should really be a cigar, or a Dutch, you know whatever your pleasure. Yep, he'd still get wiped down.

First question: Who da hell is Duffy? Second question: Why does she look 45? Is she 45?

Mary J. looked FAN-tastic during performance! She is good for some leggings and some thigh- highs, isn't she? The cream looked great on her, her hair is the right color, she just betta work.

Her red carpet look? Meh.

You know how Posh Becks is all about "That Extra Half an Inch?" Well for Mimi-la, it's all about that extra half a dress! It worked wonders! She actually looks like a grown up lady for once in life. Shout out to whoever snatched the scissors from her hand when she tried to turn this dress into booty shorts.

Now Tyra, you know I love you, but has Halloween come early for you? Please tone down the scary face, and hair for that matter. The dress is cool but if it was in black, she would totally be giving me Elvira.

PCD. I love them. And yes, I am ashamed. My therapist knows and we are working through it.

Solange the Hedgehog continued her reign of terror as "Celebrity Sister Most Likely to Inspire a 'Why Lord?'" on the red carpet.

However, in happier news, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance. Like she actually worked it. I was proud. And the dress worked for her cuz she's Solange and she's just wierd enough to pull it off. Did you see the shoes she was stomping around in? Fierce.



Worst Dressed: The honors go to your friend and mine, Lil Mama. Would she have it any other way? I can't with her. Seriously, Lil Mama take your top hat and bat wings and fly away home already.

Best Dressed: Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl! She was divine in this colorblocked grecian gown. She looks her age but so sophisticated at the same time. The colors coral and purple are definitely on trend and the hair and makeup are the perfect accent. Good for you, girl!

Tyra as Michelle Obama...just why?

Who at Harper's Bazaar thought this was a good idea? Contrived isn't even the word. Tyra as Michelle Obama. That is a punchline unto itself. And these pictures are the rimshot. Nothing about them is believable in the least. I think this must be Tyra's pay back for all of those horrible theme shoots she's put way too many ANTM hopefuls through.

WTF? She's giving me Stepford Robot.

This one is my favorite. Pencil in hand and hand on chin is the international sign for "knowledgable." Barf.

Barack is hot.

Okay, I kind of like this one. Kind of.

No and no. Kids rolling around on the floor while Michelle fixes her earrings? As if.

I much prefer the real thing!

Upgrade?

This weekend, mini mogul Tyra Banks won her first Daytime Emmy while wearing this appealing Georges Chakra gown.

Although she's looking a tad wax-figure-esque and her too blond lacefront is washing her out, I would have to say that this is a major upgrade from last year's tumor-iffic debacle. Lest we never forget:

Okay, Steven Meisel is a genius. And Sessilee Lopez very clearly killed this shoot. She is absolutely stunning! No wonder she landed one of the coveted covers. The issue hits European newsstands next Thursday and will land in the U.S. very soon after. I'll let you know more details as they come in...can't wait!

As any faithful ANTM watcher knows, Tyra is good for demonstrating the art of "smiling with your eyes." Little did we know that Ty Ty actually has 275 smiles in her repertoire that she can demonstrate on command. I sense Botox in her immediate future.

Tyra Banks has 275 smiles. Like a star athlete who has perfected a jump shot or a curveball, Banks has studied, honed and mastered the smile. In her arsenal are the “surprise smile,” the “angry but still smiling” smile, the “flirting with boyfriend” smile and the “commercial” smile, which, like the rest of Tyra’s smiles, was designed and perfected when Banks, who is now 34, began modeling at 15. From the start of her career, when she was virtually plucked from an all-girl Catholic high school in Los Angeles and whisked off to Paris, to her days as a mass-market first-name-only supermodel strutting the catwalk in her underwear for Victoria’s Secret, Banks always treated modeling as a kind of beautiful science. This sounds like pure entertainment. I wish I could keep her as my pet. I'd love her and dress her up and brush her hair, and just when she was drifting off to sleep, I'd yell "CRAZY CLOWN SMILE!" and she'd jump up and smile her crazy clown smile and we'd laugh and then I'd give her a treat.

P.S. Would you look at Ms. Jay? Him and his shenanigans are the only thing that keeps me watching cycle after endless cycle of ANTM.

Do tights = pants?

The divalicious JHud was spotted at LAX on Monday looking comfy and ready to take flight in her travel wear, and she reminded me of a question Nylon Magazine posed in it's Young Hollywood Issue (May 2008). Are leggings to be worn in lieu of pants? Are tights alright as more than an undergarment?


Tyra clearly thinks so. Oh and Mary Kate, Ashley and Lindsay have pretty much decided to wear leggings in lieu of pants from now until henceforth. As much as I am a fan of tights and leggings under long tops or short skirts, the whole phenomenon of wearing them as pants makes me uneasy. IMO, it's just too much information.

BET Honors 2008

Li Li, are you serious with that hair?

Soooo, the BET Honors were taped Saturday night, and all in all the red carpet flics really failed to impress. Nothing was over-the-top good, and nothing was over-the-top bad. In a word...meh.

Suprisingly, I like Tyra's feathered dress...but as interesting as it is, she still bores me.
Aw Viv, you try so hard. I like the color of the gown but you should have turned the volume down on that hair.

Keyshia's hideous tattoo is stealing the spotlight here.

I heart Jilly from Philly but is that an afro bang?

Kerry's one-shoulder gown is right on trend but it makes her appear even shorter.
